Identification of conserved phosphorylation sites are important in the understanding of the POLAc domain. We can use Net Phos. in order to identify region of phosphorylation among different species and then compare them to each other. If we can find conserved regions of phosphorylation we can then examine these sites and look for how the protein functions when these sites are mutated. Above we can see that the entire protein undergoes much phosphorylation. We need to investigate there regions on the right where the POLAc domain is located. Since we have high conservation among the gene sequences across species we would expect similar results from the phosphorylation patterns.
